Alu(Potato) Paratha - Simple & Quick!

This is a super simple and easy Alu Paratha recipe which will definitely linger on your taste buds for a while.

Best part about an Alu Paratha is that the key ingredient comprising which is "Alu" is always available at home.

What you need to keep handy :

Wheat Aata - Well Kneaded perhaps 30mins (or even a day back :) )
Alu (Potatoes)
Salt
Red Chilli Powder
Pepper Powder
Turmeric Powder
Cumin Powder
Coriander Powder
Chat Masala
Ajwain (few)
Some Butter

Get Started! :

Men would always think that kneading Aata is a tough job and making roti's out of them even more tougher.
Please drop all your worries and always remember that the shape is of no matter when the stomach is blind to looks :)

Hence, worth a try always.
Will soon post a quick video to knead aata in 2mins!
However, for now assuming you have some wheat kneaded aata ready.

Take the potatoes in a pressure cooker and immerse them in water. 2-3 medium size would work for 6 roti's approximately. Close the cooker and ensure the whistle has been placed on the lid.
Switch on the gas and leave it on medium heat for about 6-8 whistles.
If you are not in a hurry, wait for the steam to pass away from the cooker - else the quickest way is to place the cooker below a rushing tap.

The steam subsides in seconds and you can now open the cooker.
Remove the potatoes with a spoon(since they are hot) and place them in an open vessel under a fan to try asap.

Once they are medium dry, peel them off and mash them.

Mix Salt, Red Chilli Powder,Pepper Powder,Turmeric Powder,Cumin Powder,Coriander Powder,Chat Masala and Ajwain (few) in this mashed potatoes.

Now keep the roti making tava on sim and start rolling the roti.

First feel free to make any size of a roti and put 2 spoons of aloo mixture in this. If your alu mixture is oozing water then place less mixture in roti so that it doesnt break.

Now close the roti like a cloth and round it.

Now start making roti with the mixture inside it this time. Leave your mind to rest and forget about shapes.
If its about to break, feel free to apply some dry aata and seal the pockets.

Once the tava is hot, place the roti on it at low heat(sim). Let it cook for atleast 1min on one side, then turn it to the other. Now put 1 full tsp of oil and turn it. Put another 1/4 tsp oil on other side and turn it again.
Ensure both sides are cooked after putting oil giving 30 seconds each side.

As soon as you remove the roti from tava, put a slice of yummy butter on the roti.

Yum it up now. Burp!
